Another layout for Shimelle's crafty weekend

This is my interpretation of the challenge posted on here. This is such a classic sketch of Shimelle's and such a good one to rely on when you are just staring blankly at your favourite patterned paper, not knowing quite where to start (and trying desperately not to mess it all up).

On my layout, I have replaced the two 4x6 photos with two 4x6 journaling cards. I have used the one at the top as a mat for two smaller photos and the one at the bottom for the journaling. I have cut the text with my silhouette machine, then stuck strips of patterned paper underneath. used bolder colours for the two directive words 'siblings' and 'crazy'. When I started layering, I found that the vivid colours of the background were competing with the text, so I toned them down by painting gesso on the whole 12x12 paper, then wiping some of it off with a wet wipe (as previously demonstrated by the lovely and talented Celine Navarro here).
